Some advice: if you’re in a hurry, and you have to come up with an excuse to leave without seeming rude. Tell them you are having a ‘hot date’ at you’re place soon. When you get home, to justify the statement, put a date in a microwave (turn on the microwave for say, 20 seconds) and eat it. Problem solved.
